Good Knowledge Federation Example
An opinion.
In my (Park) view, Transformap, as a platform, comes very close to a completeknowledge federation specification. Among other things, it covers:
- People
- Activities
- Places
- Time
- Conversation
- Aggregation with Curation
In the context of complex adaptive systems, there is room for additional features which could augment its capability to foster collaboration and learning. The concept of Stigmergy suggests that coordination among participants can be enhanced through processes such as tagging, "bread crumbs", and others.
About the wiki, they say:
Here we collect and condense the diverse materials that have been accumulated in early 2014 on several different platforms like Etherpads, Trello, the Mailing Lists and intermediaryDiscourse Forums
That, in my view, serves as a kind of working memory, on the way to long-term memory in the form of a topic map.
