DARPA's memory enhancement will expand human-based storage capacity

DARPA has awarded grants to University of Pennsylvania and UCLA for Restoring Active Memory (RAM). The RAM program, designed to fast-track memory restoration for veterans, has already demonstrated dramatic improvement in memory of rats.

DARPA estimates that over 2 million vets and civilians suffer from traumatic brain injury in the US alone. The RAM program may help restore patients' memories and might eventually enhance memory in disabled and elderly persons. Advances in memory capacity could provide space for overhead needed to build unique concepts and strategies for accessing the shared memories of Sapiens plurum.
