Consumer material threats and financial services

A credit card charge without the associated transaction remains a charge on an unknowing consumer who may have purchased in the past. A consumer must request and prove something they are unable to prove when transactions are deleted.

A merchant charge transaction will process without the ability to prove the consumer purchase the bank must credit the consumer. If the bank chooses to claim fraud the consumer must prove their innocent.
