The benefits of mapping, *then* sharing

What are the benefits of mapping and *then* sharing on social media?

The benefits to you of mapping, then sharing.

The benefits to you of mapping and then sharing (using the Share>Social Media menu) are that:

  • information, knowledge and opinion you share do not disappear down a time-line (but can be shared on a time-line),
  • are placed in context
  • and the gradual accumulation and distillation of knowledge can move the conversation forward faster
  • by moving the starting point forward for any new discussion, on the map or off.

The map can be updated at any time, including via choreography (editing the map structure itself).

So the discussion can constantly move forward. If you tweet (say) an opinion about this topic it will appear, briefly, in the timeline, some people will see it and it will disappear. If you map it and then tweet it (using the Share>Social media options), your viewpoint or the information you supply is preserved in context and if someone clicks on the link they see what you have said in context.

See for yourself. Share this page. Select Sharing>Social Media from the main menu, select the Twitter (of Facebook or ...) icon, add any other information you want and ... share.
