OMC - Offer Management

Offers are comprised of goods and services.

Offer Management Template - Insight Maker

An offer includes any variation of items supplied as a solution.  Typically an item alone has little value to most customers.  Using a single item to reflect multiple items does not usually work well in an ERP or any system.  Item setup is an out of the box capability with cross functional and external stakeholder impacts.

  • Goods are hardware or device related commodities
  • Components are materials which do not alter pricing, as the price was factored into the cost of goods.
  • Services are both software, time and materials or advisory and implementation of professional services
    • Software has vector dimensions related to a server and another vector related to client license
    • Service has a vector for professional or time and materials services
      • Professional Services are time based with a deliverable or outcome of different complexities
      • Time and Materials are break fix types of services with a specific response time
