Marje’ Etheridge @F4H2014
At this presentation on her many, diverse, and multi-level projects in the Atlanta GA area, Marjé Etheridge shares at the Franchise for Humanity conference at Stanford University, California, Feb 21, 2014.
Marjé is on a Soul Journey - 'source of understanding life.' Atlanta is at the top of the list on sex trafficking, number two in obesity in the country, and has issues with high crime, illiteracy - the list goes on. In all of this, Marjé asked, 'how do we find the soul of the problem?'
She has been finding ways to breathe life into finding solutions for years, doing serial 'creativityship.' When Marjé became frustrated by community leaders that were not listening, she leaned on her strengths of knowing how to raise money and how to make films.... and turned to film. The result: a major motion picture called 'Field of Hearts.'
Marjé has created a huge network to support that dream and the 'Field of Hearts' with fragances, products, and jewelry, music, stories, clothing - all to fund the fight against sex trafficking in Atlanta.
Amongst the many other projects cooking in Marjé's soul food kitchen: Noting that twenty five percent of New York's youth are homeless, she is creating a program that connects corporate CEOs with kids in New York city in a mentorship program, starting with 100 pairs, and expanding to five major cities in the United States.
