After decades of working in entertainment, fashion and beauty, Denise’s life was transformed forever when her daughter Brittany was nearly killed in a tragic bicycle accident, brain dead and in a coma for over two weeks. After Denise’s time at Brittany’s bedside during her 40 day stay in the UCLA NeuroTrauma ICU, she made a miraculous full recovery. Denise’s caregiver story of one of the greatest challenges of her life has inspired thousands worldwide.

Denise is also the Founder/CEO and Executive Director of the nonprofit, Wings of Love International, Inc., helping survivors of domestic abuse through her organization’s mission to empower, educate,and inspire a pathway from abuse to emotional health, wholeness and abundance. In April2012 Denise was recognized as a Distinguished LMU Alumna and awarded the prestigious “Social Entrepreneur of the Year” Award. A bronze plaque in her honor was dedicated on the LMU Entrepreneurship Wall of Honor, ConradHiltonBusiness Building, Los Angeles, where very few women are honored for their contributions to the world.

The former Ms. Santa Monicaand MissCalifornia International has been recognized often for her manyachievements inbusiness and giving back to others. In September 2013 she was recognized in Hollywood by the President of the Multicultural Motion Picture Association with the “Lady in Red” Diamond Rose Award, and she has was honored in December 2013 as “Publicist of the Year” in Hollywood by her peers and clients.

A proud single mother of three, she is a talented multi-tasker and is known for squeezing a lot into 24 hours.She attributes this skill to her parents’ example, and her college days where she played NCAA soccer and softball, broadcasted for KXLU Radio,edited her college newspaper,and simultaneously worked full-time to pay her own way through college by earning scholarships and working at a domestic violence shelter. She has been serving others eversince,living her life with her faith 1st, her family 2nd, and her career3rd.
