Green Open Access

Under Green OA, research publication is funded by readers, through the purchase of journals when they are published, in the traditional manner. An earlier version of the published article may be made available in openly accessible repositories, but published final versions on publishers’ sites are subject to embargoes and sit behind pay walls, placing the cost on users.
