HWT-I: Mindfulness practices

Practitioners will need to teach clients all of the stages of mindfulness practice.

They will need to ask clients to demonstrate that they have practiced each of the exercises that teach the stages of mindfulness so that they know how to use these in their own lives to help them to heal and to deal with the stress of the illness.

Homework resources for this could include Thich Naht Hanh's you tube videos about "Opening the Heart" in which he explains the different stages of mindfulness. This will be suitable for clients who are very open-minded but not for those with a narrower approach.

The exercises the practitioners will teach to their clients will be the same as those which are used in the practitioner training - but with less background and in more readily accessible lay terms.
