3. Agricultural interventions with income generation goals

Agriculture is the foundation for many of the families in the North. But the data on hand shows that the impact of agricultural interventions and incomes (and therefore a possible means to improve nutrition) is ambiguous.

The evidence on agricultural interventions and nutrition is important because the five Programme states are predominantly rural and stunting is higher in rural areas. But the data on hand shows that the impact of agricultural interventions and incomes (and therefore a possible means to improve nutrition) is unclear.

One Nigerian intervention - Improving Agriculture and Rural Markets in Nigeria – may have potential in this regard but there is no evidence to prove this contention.
