An important note on map choreography

"Choreography" is the process by which the map structure itself is edited and gives us the ability to control the story over time. This map is currently "locked" into August 2010 because it updates stopped around that time. But since it is easy to move map elements around then as time passes segments of the map that are important today can be moved into archival sections of the map.

They are not lost or deleted and individual elements can be brought back at any time. The most current version of the map floats on the surface. Older elements lie beneath the surface, out of sight but easily brought back to the surface should the need arise.
