The commercial fight for viewers and readers can lead to journalists favouring speed over accuracy.

Claim made by Martin Moore, Director of the Media Standards Trust, in The Independent:

"Traditonal media outlets are "locked in a desperate commercial fight for viewers and readers... That can mean journalists are forced into favouring speed over accuracy."
