More border control agents
According to DHS, 697 miles of U.S.-Mexico border now under effective control. If this is maintained in coming year, means that approximately 1,300 miles of U.S-Mexico border that are not under effective control. More agents will help to close this gap and keep the rest of the border safe.
According to the Government Accountability Office, of the 2,000 miles separating the US and Mexico, only 44% is under operational control of the Border Patrol and only 15% are under full control. More agents will help.
