Money not being spent where it's planned to be spent
Currently, US has authorized budget of $1.6 billion to confront the drug trafficking threat and put an end to illegal smuggling, dealing and violence. However, of the 1.6 billion allotted by Congress, 197 million has been spent on US personnel, law enforcement and military training.
Little is being done by Obama Administration to secure the border and address the threat of spillover violence. In past two years, administration has neglected cost-effective means to reduce illegal immigration and secure the border.
