My Top 5 Favorite Disney Films Are: #5 Brother Bear (2003) The story was excellent, the voice acting was amazing, the Phil Collins songs were good (not as good as Tarzan, though), and everything felt solid. One of the only Disney films I saw in theaters. #4 Beauty and the Beast (1991) Considered to be the best Disney film by critics, I agree, but it isn't my favorite. The music is solid, the animationhas aged really well for a film from 1991, and everything was just perfect. #3 Treasure Planet (2002) I'm really crossed I never saw it in theaters. The animation was fantastic, it was a fantastic spin on a fantastical story. I love steampunk. The John Rzeznik songs were excellent, as I am a big fan of the Goo Goo Dolls. The voice acting, as usual was great. #2 Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001) Solid film from Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise. Great action sequences, Mike Mignola's comic style fit very well. I loved the characters, particularly Milo Thatch, and overall am a huge fan of this film, and I think it doesn't get enough attention, and it gets too much hate. #1 The Lion King (1994) Its success was well-deserved. The Elton John/Tim Rice songs were timeless classics, in my opinion. (The Elton John versions were better than the movie versions, no matter what others will say) The characters are memorable, Timon and Pumbaa are some of my favorite comic relief characters of all time. It all works. I even did find the sequels, The Lion King 1 1/2 and The Lion King II: Simba's Pride to be enjoyable, as well, but they do not match up to the original. I wasn't alive when this film came out, yet it still leaves nostalgic value for me.
