Q i hour po furosemide for enhanced diuresis
A 92 yo woman has CHF, edema and SOB on furosemide 60 mg qam. VisTa reminds Dr that constant infusion of furosemide (mimic by giving furosemide 10 mg po q1hr x 6 doses) can effect greater diruresis. Patient returns in 2 wks w/o edema or shortness of breath, having lost 15 lbs.
