Political action (global issues)
Political action is a synonym for steering
We have seen in Vision Quest why political action that restricts itself to acting within existing systems runs the risk to be symbolic. And why also the insights are available that, when properly communicated, can guide us to a completely different idea of what political action currently tends to be, and what it needs to become.
A natural alternative is to aim at systemic change. There are two basic ways: revolution, and evolution. What we are calling re-evolution combines the advantages of both, while avoiding their disadvantages.
Notice that in re-evolution there are no sides and losers (...).
Re-evolution naturally relies on creating systemic trimtabs. The point of the story is that because social systems are living systems, they cannot be just 'fixed'. We may for ex. desperately need to fix the financial system, yet other things and systems may need to be in place before such a change may be reasonably accomplished. Hence the political action we seek is—finding suitable systemic leverage points, or points where re-evolution is completely ready.
Here are some examples, which are developed into tactical details within the provided projects.
