Intelligent Design proponents believe that life is artificial. That is, supporters of I.D. believe that life is the designed artifact of an intelligence.

The debate isn't natural vs. supernatural, which is meaningless drivel, but natural vs. artificial. Think a rock vs. a personal computer.
