Will It With Binay?
Binay is the successful mayor of Makati City, the financial capital of the Philippines. He has run it quite well.
Binay had successfully provided free education up to high school in Makati. Senior citizens love him there because they also have yellow cards that gives them free hospitalization, monthly allowances and even free movies twice a week in any Makati cinemas. He even sends them birthday cakes, all of them, on their birthdays!
Basic services are very good in Makati that if you take out your grill and produce more smoke from it than necessary, a firetruck comes along! I understand Makati now has a 911 emergency response system and cameras all over the place for crime control.
Is Binay just lucky that his city has the biggest revenue and the smallest land area, therefore, he is able to do all this? Probably, but then if he is not that able, those money could have gone to nonsensical deployment of services or worse, to big time corruption. I don't see how anybody can beat the Binays in Makati for years to come as anybody else would just be all talk.
Binay's presidential campaign slogan is a very credible: this is what I have done to Makati, this is what should be done for the Philippines too!
So, yes, Binay can probably make the Philippines prosper.
