Food Guide Pagoda for Chinese People 



Dietary Guidelines for General people aged 6 and older:
  • Eat a variety of foods, with cereals as the staple and include a certain amount of coarse grains.
  • Consume plenty of vegetables, fruits and tubers.
  • Consume milk, soybean, or dairy- or soybean-products every day
  • Consume appropriate amounts of fish, poultry, eggs and lean meat
  • Reduce edible oil consumption
  • Avoid overeat, exercise every day, to maintain a healthy body weight
  • Rationally distribute the daily food intake among the three meals, if you take snacks, do so appropriately
  • Drink sufficient water every day, rationally choose beverages.
  • If you drink alcoholic beverages, do so in limited amounts.
  • Avoid unsanitary and spoiled foods
