Hydroponics

Hydroponics is a method of growing plants in water using nutrient solutions and without soil.


Examples of hydroponic production include in lettuce grown on Styrofoam floats in Quebec with carefully monitored water and nutritional inputs; greenhouses on the top of office buildings, and producing tomatoes on strings where water is recycled and energy used highly efficient.
