HEFA blend with Jet-A kerosene

From 1st July 2011, airlines have been permitted to use up to 50 per cent of hydro-processed esters and fatty acids (HEFA)6 blended with Jet-A kerosene. Airlines such as KLM and Lufthansa now operate certain routes using this blend of fuels.
