Limiting temperature increase to 2C (probably) avoids tipping points

The global climate system is complex and chaotic, with internal instabilities and positive feedback loops. Once the system passes a tipping point, even if greenhouse emissions stabilise, nature will raise temperatures and increase emissions itself.
