Do landmark research

You are a young researcher; a fairy grants you a professional wish: "Whatever you may dream to accomplish will be granted. But please spare me of small things like the genome and the Higgs boson—they would only be more of the same; wish something that can truly make a difference! What would you say?

Be part of a 'new paradigm' development in knowledge work at large

A new paradigm (according to Kuhn, a new way of understanding and organizing a domain) is a situation where unordinarily large contributions become possible. The Game undertakes to develop a new paradigm in knowledge work in general.

REFLECTION: Textbook examples of 'a new paradigm in science' are the change from the geocentric to the heliocentric model in astrophysics, and Darwin's theory in biology. A new paradigm is a new way of organizing a domain, beginning from its basic assumptions, and opening up whole new directions of development. Can you imagine a new paradigm that is not in any specific discipline, but in knowledge work at large?

Consider carefully what 'a new paradigm' entails: Anomalies; change of epistemology (when the 'holy scriptures' contradict experience, we place our tust on the latter); the possibility to organize the domain in a completely different way; large possibilities for completely new lines of work. Then proceed with Game START, aiming to discover that what is being talked about is indeed a strategy to develop 'new paradigm' in knowledge work at large, with all relevant details.
