GLII – Spain

The DAE Going local main meeting in Spain on 1 December 2011 focused on three areas of the EU Digital Agenda in Spain: eGovernment, radio spectrum, and social innovation. The event was co-organized by the European Commission and the Government of Spain, with the support of the Junta de Andalucía.



Key themes addressed:

1. E-government, e-identity, re-use of public sector information
  • Implementation of the EU eGovernment Action Plan
  • Priorities for Spain: Reuse of public sector information 
  • eID and interoperability: The cornerstones of Large Scale Pilots
2. Spectrum priorities and key challenges for wireless innovation in Spain
  • The continued spectrum needs for television services
3. Social innovation
  • Innovation for social transformation.
  • Opportunities offered by social networks for entrepreneurship 
  •
