Innovation for Digital Inclusion Conference, Gdansk, 06/10/2011 (14:30-16:00)
On October 6th, in Gdansk, a “Digital Agenda Going Local” workshop took place as part of the
Innovation for Digital Inclusion conference, and discussed practical ways to operationalise the Digital Agenda for Europe at the local level and in the Polish context in all its aspects.
In particular the workshop considered the following questions:
- What does being part of the digital single market mean for Poland?
- How to best achieve the Digital Agenda targets for broadband deployment?
- How to best make use of ICT innovation potentials in public sectors and services (such as eGovernment, eHealth) as well as to achieve targets for digital inclusion?
- How to best use National and regional e-inclusion programmes as tools for the implementation of the Digital Agenda for Europe?
The speakers included Miguel Gonzales-Sancho of the European Commission; Wlodzimierz Marcinski of the Ministry of Interior and Public Administration, Magdalena Gaj of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Dariusz Bogucki, of the Polish Information Processing Society; Wojciech Kulesza of The VISIBLES Foundation, and Laure Batut, of the European Economic and Social Committee.
