The biannual Tutor/Mentor Leadership and Networking Conference is part of an ongoing effort to improve the quality and availability of tutor/mentor programs in areas of Chicago and other big cities of the US and the world with high concentrations of poverty.
Through in-person networking and through the Internet, the conference connects Chicago's program leaders with people and ideas across the country and the globe.
View Tutor/Mentor Connection Strategy Map. View participation maps from past conferences. The next conference will be Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Metcalfe Federal Building, 77 W. Jackson, in Chicago. You can see some feedback from previous conferences at
http://www.tutormentorconference.org/whatpeoplesay.asp An effort is underway to map the discussions of the conference on Debategraph so that what was talked about in small groups in Chicago can be shared with a growing number on-line. If you'd like to help with that please add your own topics of what you want to know about building and sustaining a volunteer based tutor/mentor program.
