Oct 1973: Yom Kippur / Ramadan War

Egypt and Syria attacked Israel on 6th October 1973, crossing the 1967 ceasefire lines in the Sinai and Golan Heights.The war ended on 26 October and resulted in the deaths of around 6,000 Israeli and  8,500 Egyptian and Syrian soldiers—Israel gaining territory beyond the 1967 ceasefire lines.
