Welfare costs money.
Michael D. Tanner said in his article More Welfare, More Poverty, "Yet, last year, the federal government spent more than $477 billion on some 50 different programs to fight poverty." That money must come from the tax payers pocket. Why should a good citizen have to share his or her money?
