Status: Regulatory & technological barriers are slowing cloud adoption

The take up of cloud computing in Europe has been slower than optimal due to barriers (trust, security, interoperability, data privacy) faced by cloud providers and the cloud users.


The impact of cloud technologies goes beyond reducing IT costs and giving more flexibility but it is a platform to enable EU innovation and new business models (EU as ‘cloud active’).
