Economic stability

Social market capitalism provides an appropriate level of restrictions on the financial sector so that is may weather economic problems as they come.

Germany is the example of social market capitalism.  Throughout the great recession, Germany maintained its economic viability and actually became one of the leading powers in Europe because of it.  Check out the Economist article on its performance.
