Digital Agenda Assembly 2011
The European Commission has invited a broad range of participants from industry, the research community and NGOs, as well as representatives from Member State governments, and the other EU institutions to Brussels on 16–17 June 2011 to assess progress in meeting the targets of the Digital Agenda.
The Digital Agenda for Europe is the European Union's road map for bringing the benefits of a digital society and economy to Europe's citizens. But it can only deliver if all stakeholders are involved in assessing problems and identifying solutions.
Objectives
The main objectives of the Assembly are to:
- Assess progress to date on delivery towards the Digital Agenda's goals and actions and seek ways to improve delivery;
- Identify challenges ahead for the implementation of the Digital Agenda and for the information society in general;
- Mobilise stakeholders' actions to make further progress and address challenges.
Programme
The Assembly will be a mixture of workshops, designed to identify solutions to specific challenges and plenary sessions designed to synthesise the discussions and identify the way forward. View the full programme.
