Where did they come from? Why is the situation getting worse? 
We can only offer an educated guess as to why the Guido Phenomenon is growing, it is a vast collaboration of issues that we will try and sum up the best we can. We would like to begin with this quote - Joseph Chamie of the UN Population Agency recently stated: "People today are more concerned about their appearances, [rather than family and moral values]" (Buchanan 2002, 99).

This effect is not only present and flowing through the western world but is growing in each progressive generation as the average American two-parent family breaks down as it has over the latter half of the 20th century. With the growing absence of something such as parent's attention to their child or merely a simple dinner family conversation, the younger generation looks to television, media, and the culture around them for what they want and what they strive to be. Unfortunately, the message being pushed on us today through television, the mass media, commercialism and advertising leans much more on what is good for the individual rather than the group. Harmless on the surface it would seem, but the underlying effects of this surge inmaterialism and hedonism are more frightening. The basic values of love, friendship and family are being replaced with material possessions and an illusion of self-importance.

We believe that this is why the Guido Phenomenon grows. The individuals that young people look up to are no longer their family, but extravagantly rich and vain athletes, rappers and music stars they see in the media. On a more local level, they see this phenomenon being portrayed in their Guido classmates, their attention to their looks and attitude are looked up to by lost children searching for an identity. This phenomenon is the seed that has created the vast surge in the Long Island Guido population that we see today. Those who turn down the Guido's road to happiness strive for three things: vanity, materialism and attitude.

Below is a brief topographical summary of where these idiots are most densely populated on Long Island, which towns still have a fighting chance, and which towns have already been turned into a shit hole by the Guido phenomenon.

Finding Guidos
Be on the Lookout for:

1) an excessive blowout haircut
2) a full pound of gel entrenched in their hair that gives it the texture of a bag of nails
3) an unnatural and often disturbing orange tan
4) the only males that ever enter the tanning salon for that matter
5) the guy in front of a mirror when you show up at the gym and standing in front of the same mirror when you leave an hour later
6) the guy that wears a button down shirt but can’t learn how to use the top two buttons
7) the ones that never worked hard in their life
8) the ones that make it a point to serve no greater purpose for society
9) the guy who acts tough all the time, even when having a conversation with his grandmother
10) those who try so hard to act like they are in the mafia
11) the fools who kiss anyone’s ass who they think has even remote ties to the mafia
12) the kids who drive expensive cars that their parents bought for them, mostly low end BMW’s, but couldn’t change their oil if their life depended on it
13) those people who think gangster rap music takes a tremendous amount of talent 
14) the ones who only watch sports when they are betting on the games
15) those who just emanate  a natural “douche bag” aura

If these characteristics are too difficult to remember, just use this general guideline:  Think of the exact opposite of what it means to be a real man…now you’ve got a Guido.

Our Goals

•  To promote “The Resistance” by helping to raise Guido Awareness

•  To show young teens who are thinking about traveling down the Guido path that there is a better future for them if they can hold on to their own individuality and identity.

•  To embarrass existing Guidos so much that that they stay inside their parent’s house and never come out at night or just leave the island all together.

We must make people realize that Guidos are HUGE LOSERS.

Imagine a Better Society:  Imagine a society free of attitude, materialism and vanity.  Imagine a society of individuals, all of whom have characteristics and traits distinct to themselves and themselves only.

Imagine a Long Island free of attitude, where one day you can walk into a bar at night for a few drinks with your friends and not lose hope in the progress of human civilization.

This can be our Long Island if we unite, work together, and support the resistance
