World poverty

While in this course, we are focusing on the problem of poverty in the U.S. it is a real problem effecting real people, I also don't want us to forget that we are part of the world community and relatively wealthy in comparison to poverty world wide. (See expanded text)

According to the website cozay.com extreme poverty in Africa has reached rates at stun people on a daily bases, "Every day 30,000 children die froma combination of disease- infested water and malnutrition," the reportcontinued. "Water-borne diseases are claiming one child every three seconds.These diseases are the major killers of small children in Africa." and most children dont not reach the age of five.
