L.H. Tribe calls Manning's treatment unconstitutional

Professor of constitutional law at Harvard Law School, widely recognized as a leading liberal scholar of constitutional law, legal advisor to the Justice Department until recently, Laurence Henry Tribe, a big supporter of Obama during the campaign, described Obama as "the best student I ever had". He appears in an impressive list of 300 signers to an open letter about "Private Manning's Humiliation" published in the April 28, 2011 edition of the New York Review of Books, condemning the treatment of Bradley Manning as unconstitutional and asking Pentagon to "document the grounds for its extraordinary actions—and immediately end those that cannot withstand the light of day".
