Faith is beneficial to an individual's self
The reason for this has to do with faith, something we believe without evidence i.e. blind faith, leaving us in ignorant bliss. The idea of faith is easier than reason due to the ability to push all reasoning and further thinking on the subject onto something we "can't change".
