COLLABORATIONS 2013

Since 2010, Urban Dialogues has commissioned annual collaborative artworks by groups of artists of different faith and non-religious backgrounds.

The programme gives artists the opportunity to create work through a process of reflection and dialogue, acknowledging difference as well as discovering similarities and points of contact, creating valuable relationships along the way.

In June of this year a new dimension was added to this programme through a joint initiative with the King's Cultural Institute to bring academics and artists together to create new work

The aim is to see how academics can influence and impact artistic practice whilst allowing artists to inform and inspire new ways of thinking. To explore these concepts two academics from King’s have worked with this year's two Urban Dialogues commissioned collaborations to produce the final work.
