Forum rules Welcome. Please read before first use of the forum. Make sure to view the introductory video at the Tab 'Help' as well! Public forum This forum is public and open source, meaning that it can not be terminated very easily. This is to ensure that the data that the members have contributed is protected. Node=thread Every node is a thread that you can leave comments to and discuss with others. To do so, click on the node and then on the Details tab to add your comment. Sandbox You can use the Sandbox node to practise on how to use the map. You can also leave a comment on the Sandbox thread, where other users can offer help. Please pay attention to the following: 1. Name the source When adding information to the nodes, name the source when possible. 2. Double nodes When creating a new node, make sure that there is no node with that topic already. Use the Finder Tab to search for existing nodes. Use and append the node that is already there. 3. Colour codes If you make a new node/thread, make sure to indicate if it is a name/protagonist (green), an issue (orange), a theory (blue), supportive of a theory (bright green) or against a theory (red). 4. Personal attacks No personal attacks please. Motivate your view in a new node. TIPS & TRICKS 1. Timeline Use the Finder Tab to view a list of the whole map. You can see a 'Timeline' for all items that have been dated. 2. Lock your node/thread The principal idea of the forum is to contribute to nodes/threads TOGETHER in order to improve the big picture. However, if for some reason you do not want others to be able to edit your node, you can lock it. This can be done in the expert mode (at the "View" link below the map). 3. Rate! You can rate ideas/theories/scenarios as likely or unlikely. To do so, click on an arrow or node and give your rating. 4. Advanced users Advanced users can use the 'Edit detailed text' link in the Details Tab or the "View" link below the map to add extra content such as links, videoclips, pictures but also documents and extensive text. These will appear in the Details Tab. |
