Relocating the physical HQ of the UN to Jerusalem would bring a significant short-term and long-term economic stimulus to the region, from which both Israelis and Palestinians would benefit. (#12992)

Relocating the UN HQ to Jerusalem would force the UN to give full attention to all of the issues besetting the region—e.g. poverty, human rights, rising population, the geo-politics of the oil industry (in addition of the conflict over the land and control of Jerusalem). (#12989)

UN presence would deter conflict in region *

Locating the physical headquarters of the UN at the center of the region—and at the heart of the conflict—would help to deter violence in the region and encourage all parties to engage more fully in the peaceful resolution of the conflict. (#12991)

The UN bears some responsibility for the confilict due its role in the creation of Israel.
