Is There a Scientific Consensus on Climate Change?
Almost no one challenges the reality that human activities are changing the composition of the atmosphere. And very few scientists question that the direction of those changes is likely to result in climate change, or that we are engaged in a risky one-way planetary experiment. So there is a scientific consensus on these points. There is much more discussion and uncertainty (and less consensus) around the specifics of the timing and magnitude of climate change impacts.
