From Siobhan F (Central Netmums Team)

On behalf of Netmums I'd like to welcome Lord Darzi to our Coffeehouse.

It's wonderful that such senior politicians and policymakers realise that we mums have a lot to say on Big Issues (and don't just sit around drinking coffee and discussing nappies!)

Not many people spend more time at the doctors than us mums...I know sometimes it seems I am at the surgery every week with one of mine!

The NHS is "for the people" - that's us - paid for out of our taxes. But someone has to run it and this is our opportunity to tell them where it's going well and what needs to be flagged as a problem - just your own views and experiences - everyone's opinion counts. Over to you...

From Lord Darzi (Our NHS, Our Future Review)

Thank you for your welcome!

I want to hear your views on how the NHS can improve. As a parent, what are your main concerns for health care in the future? How do you think we can better health services for children?

Your opinions really do matter. I am currently leading a major review of the NHS and have already met around 1,000 staff and patients from across the country. The feedback I receive will inform my final report to the Prime Minister, which will set the direction for the NHS over the next decade.

By discussing issues honestly we can deliver the most effective treatment and services to everyone and make the NHS a world-leader. So please get involved and let us know what you want from the NHS.
