You can add comments to the Details of an idea in much the same as a blog.

Comments enable an informal conversation to develop about a particular idea – without, or prior to, mapping the points expressed in the comments – and, unlike a Discuss message in the Stream, a comment always refers to, and is attached to, a specific idea.

To add a comment to an idea:

• Select the idea on the map, and click on the Details tab.

• Click on the Show>> Comments option on the Details Selector bar at the bottom, and then on the Add a comment link that opens:

• Type your comment in the Comment box that opens:

• ...and, after clicking Enter,  your comment will be displayed immediately (beneath the Details text).

Alternatively, you can post a Comment on the selected idea at any time using the Comment check box option on the Discuss button.
