Sharing and embedding the currently selected Hub view (1) Click on the Share link (in the bottom left corner of the map). (2) A menu opens over the map, offering three options: - A URL to the currently-displayed Hub view which you can use to link to the map when tweeting, blogging etc (for public maps).
- A snippet of code to embed a narrow-width version of the currently selected map view (minus the editing controls and tabs) on a blog or web site. (Example here).
- A snippet of code to embed the whole Hub on a blog or website (including all the edting features, buttons and tabs). (Example here).
Note: (1) The embed codes use iframes – like Google maps – which most (but not all) blogging platforms allow by default. And when embedding the code on your blog you may need to use the blog's HTML editor rather than the default Visual editor. (2) When linking to these views you are also given the option to enter a friendly URL (e.g. debategraph.org/MyMap) for the link. Sharing Box views by Email It's quick and simple to embed and share any Tree view of any map in an email – and the Tree views are particularly well adapted to presentation and collaboration by email. (1) Open the Box view that you want to share (using the + Display button, top right in the Hub). (2) Click on the EMAIL button at the top of the page, enter the email address(es) and an (optional) short message in the form that opens, and then click Post. Your Box view will be emailed immediately and will arrive in the form illustrated below (with your short message displayed in the message box on the right):
